"The Last Twilight" is a well-crafted story that explores more of what The Consortium are up to and tells a nice love story at the same time.

The Dirk & Steele series is definitely worth reading.

As always, Marjorie M. Liu does not disapoint! The Dirk & Steele series of books have all been a fun ride from start to finsh.
book kept me involved and interested in the characters. wanted to know what would happen to the characters and if there would be more books
I love this series they are well written and keep your interest until the end. They are a great read for people who like Feehan books.
A really intense story. Hard to put down because there seemd to be a never ending line of trouble for the characters in the story and I could not fathom how this would turn out to be a happy ending...

"The Last Twilight" pairs Rikki, a virus hunter who is investigating an ebola-like outbreak, with Amiri, a shapeshifter whose job is to protect her. There is strong character development and a lot of time is devoted to the relationships between the characters, especially issues of trust, feelings of isolation, and a longing for family/belonging. The plot gets unnecessarily complicated, in my opinion, and there isn't a satisfactory resolution to either the virus or the looming catastrophe (if we can believe the sinister Broker), but the book kept my attention and delivered on the unexpected, always focusing on the characters.
Love these ! you never know exactly what you with get with a Dirk & Steele novel -- well you never know what your hero/heroin will be you do know that you will get well written characters with something extra that is working for good , a entertaining fast passed story, and a love story that will have you coming back for more.
